***ATTENTION - UPCOMING CHANGES TO SANITATION/RECYCLING COLLECTION***

Effective Monday, May 30, 2022, the City of Glenn Heights' garbage and recycling collections partner will change from Waste Management Inc. to Community Waste Disposal (CWD). More detailed information will follow, but please be advised of the following key points regarding this transition:

  1. The FIRST pickup by CWD will occur on Monday, May 30, 2022, despite being a holiday.
  2. Garbage pickups will take place 5 days per week. Each neighborhood will have a particular day of the week (i.e., Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc.) for scheduled service. 
  3. Recycling pickup service will now be EVERY OTHER WEEK. 
  4. New CWD trash and recycling carts will be delivered the week of May 23-27 on the resident’s new service day (M-F). Each resident will be given a 95-gallon GRAY cart for trash and a 95-gallon BLUE cart for recycling.  
  5. Old Waste Management green carts will be picked up during their final collection on May 25. Please leave them out on the curb so they can be collected and returned to the Waste Management, even if they are not picked up on May 25.
  6. All households will be eligible to participate in a Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) program.  
  7. Total rate for one-recycling cart and one garbage cart will be $15.11 per month per household, down from the current rate of $15.60.
