What is Diversity?

Diversity is the range of human differences.  They include but are not limited to race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, social class, physical ability or attributes, religious or ethical values system, national origin, and political beliefs, as well as differences of thoughts, opinions, background and beliefs.

What is Inclusion?

Inclusion is the act of making a person or thing part of a group.  Inclusion is involvement and empowerment, where the inherent worth and dignity of all people are recognized. In short, it means creating an environment of involvement, respect, and connection where the richness of ideas, backgrounds, talents, beliefs, and perspectives are utilized to create value and a sense of belonging.

Hispanic Heritage Month

September 15 - October 15

From September 15 through October 15, National Hispanic Heritage Month (HHM) is observed across America, in celebration of the independence of several Latin American countries and the contributions that have infused America.  

The City of Glenn Heights recognizes and observes the rich history and significant contributions that communities of Latin descent have contributed globally.
