South Uhl Road
The South UHL Road Improvement Project is a collaborative effort between the City of Glenn Heights and the City of Red Oak to enhance the roadway from Ovilla Road to the intersection of Harmony Way. The City of Red Oak is leading the project, with Glenn Heights contributing $2.4 million as part of an Interlocal Agreement (ILA) established in October 2023.
The City of Red Oak finalized its plans in June 2023 to construct only half of the roadway. At that time, the City of Glenn Heights initiated discussions and proposed a partnership to upgrade the entire section to final conditions. As a result, the design consultant revised the plans to incorporate these enhancements. The updated plans are now nearing completion, pending TxDOT approval for drainage and traffic signal improvements and HILCO’s coordination on existing utility adjustments along the corridor.
