CPR Education & Stop the Bleed Training

CPR Class

CPR Education & Stop the Bleed Training Now Offered by the Glenn Heights Fire Department

The City of Glenn Heights Fire Department is proud to expand its community preparedness programs by offering CPR Education and Stop the Bleed training classes to residents, businesses, and community organizations. These programs are designed to equip everyday citizens with the knowledge and confidence needed to take life‑saving action during emergencies—because in a crisis, every second truly matters.

CPR Education courses teach participants how to recognize cardiac arrest, perform high‑quality CPR, and respond effectively until first responders arrive. Sudden cardiac emergencies can happen anywhere—at home, school, work, or public places—and immediate bystander CPR can significantly increase a victim’s chance of survival. These classes are ideal for parents, teachers, caregivers, youth leaders, and anyone interested in learning essential lifesaving skills.

Our Stop the Bleed program focuses on how to control severe bleeding, one of the leading causes of preventable death following traumatic injury. Attendees will learn how to identify life‑threatening bleeding, apply direct pressure, pack wounds, and correctly use a tourniquet. This hands‑on training empowers participants to take swift action in critical situations such as accidents, severe cuts, or other emergencies where rapid blood loss may occur.

Whether you're looking to strengthen your own preparedness or to help protect your family, workplace, or neighborhood, these courses provide practical, easy‑to‑understand training that can make a profound difference when seconds count.

The Glenn Heights Fire Department encourages all community members to get involved, stay informed, and be ready to take action in an emergency.
