Water Update

Drinking Water Now Available

COVID-19 Vaccine Sites

Dallas County has closed the Fair Park Vaccine location from Saturday, February 13 - Monday, February 15.  There may be additional closures after Monday.

Dart rail operations suspended Due To Severe Weather, Buses on Saturday Schedule.

"For the safety of both our passengers and employees during the severe weather situation across North Texas, Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) will suspend all rail operations beginning at 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 14, through 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday. February 17. DART bus routes will continue to operate on a Saturday schedule."

In addition, DART will run on a Winter Operations 2 schedule which appears the daily 206 will be suspended through 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, February 17.

Emergency Warming Shelters

Inclement weather shelters have been set up for persons experiencing homelessness and/or in need of warming centers. Please see a list of shelters below:

Public Safety Update

Residents, neighbors and friends, please see the messaging issued by our Public Safety below: 

• The City of Glenn Heights Police Department, Fire Department and Public Works Department will have delayed responses to all calls for service due to weather conditions. 

• If you become stranded in your vehicle or involved in a motor vehicle accident, Glenn Heights Police Department will ensure that you are taken to back home if you are a resident of Glenn Heights or to the Glenn Heights warming station if you are not a resident. Glenn Heights Police Department are authorized to push vehicles off the roadways to clear the roadways, wreckers will not be called during this weather event.

• On medical calls, if the Glenn Heights Fire Department staff determine that you do not have life threatening conditions you may not be transported to a hospital during this weather event.

•     If you have an emergency, PLEASE call 9-1-1.

Public Works 

Public Works Department will have delayed responses to all calls for service due to weather conditions.

Senior Congregate Meal Program

The Senior Congregate Meal Program will not run on Monday, February 15 or Tuesday, February 16, 2021.  All Senior participants were distributed meals to carry them through the next week on Friday, February 12, 2021.  If you are a senior in need of assistance, please call 469.816.8030.
